A businessman on his deathbed
called his friend and said, "Bill, I want you to promise me that when I
die, you will have my remains cremated." "And what," his
friend asked, "do you want me to do with your ashes?" The businessman said,
"Just put them in an envelope and mail them to the Internal Revenue
Service. Write on the envelope, 'Now, you have everything.'"

One Person To the world
you might be one person; but to one

what happens to you and 90% of how you respond to it Life is like
an onion; you peel off one layer at a time and sometimes
you weep. Learn from the

THANK YOU to the Program Committee (Jorie, Andrea and Cindy). Please look over the 2008 SRA Calendar of Events. Clements’ Auto- Biography Hi,
my name is Jorie Clements and I am the Secretary for the Stroke Recovery
Association of Edmonton since March of 2007.
I grew up in At
EBIRS I work on cognitive rehabilitation such as memory, attention,
problem-solving, planning, etc. I get
to help survivors of brain injury get back into their community again through
volunteering, exercise, and providing rehabilitation directly in one’s
familiar setting. EBIRS is a program
that can offer compensatory cognitive strategies for individual’s looking to
continue their rehabilitation and progress after they have been discharged from
hospital programs. I really enjoy
being able to volunteer with the Stroke Recovery Association of Edmonton and
look forward to meeting more members as we attend the meetings together. |

Real friends
are those who, when you feel you’ve made a fool of yourself, don’t feel
you’ve done a permanent job. Sometimes the
majority only means that all the
fools are on the same side. I don’t have
to attend every argument I’m invited to. Lead your life
so you won’t be ashamed to sell the family
parrot to the town gossip.. |
